Abstract
Metaphor is the substance of poetry. Mauricio Beuchot has tested the performance for the analysis of the metaphor of semiotics based on Peirce and his followers. Analogy, or similarity, manages to intertwine literal and metaphorical meanings as well as poetic creativity. But beyond semiotics, metaphor is complemented by metonymy and from both, through analogical hermeneutics, philosophical, metaphysical, and anthropological scope emerges. In this work I have proposed, following the Mexican philosopher, to present, exemplify and show this performance and saying “beyond” a semiotics of metaphor.
