The Editorial Board of Semas. Revista de Lingüística Teórica y Aplicada invites the international academic community to contribute to issue 17. We invite researchers, scholars, and graduate students to submit original research works that provide relevant knowledge in the field of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics and that are capable of suggesting new directions for research in terms of topics, methodologies, approaches, and bibliographic sources. Book reviews and interviews with specialists in the field will also be accepted.
Contributions submitted to the journal must be unpublished and must not be committed to other journals or publishers. Contributions are accepted in Spanish and English. All research articles will undergo a (double-blind) peer-review process for validation prior to publication.
This new call will remain open until November 20, 2026; works received after this date will be considered for subsequent issues of the publication.
Articles must be submitted digitally through the journal's website: https://semas.uaq.mx/index.php/ojs
Two digital files must be uploaded for each contribution. One of them will contain the author's details and must include at least: first name(s) and surname(s) of the author(s), as they usually sign their texts and without using initials (if the text is the work of more than one author, the first will be considered the main author); the author(s)' institutional affiliation, including city and country; a brief curriculum summary of the author, including positions and teaching or scientific categories; and the author(s)' email address. The other file will contain the full body of the article and must avoid any reference to the author within the document, in order to preserve anonymity during the review process.
Each manuscript must be accompanied by:
-Title of the text in Spanish and English
-Abstract of the text in Spanish and English, not exceeding 150 words. It must be written in a single paragraph, concisely presenting the purpose, main results, and conclusions of the research.
-Keywords or key phrases for the text (no fewer than 3 and no more than 8), in Spanish and English. They must not duplicate words or phrases already present in the title of the text.
-The following must also be clearly defined: an introduction stating the aims and any other elements to be highlighted; the sections, with their corresponding headings; the conclusions; and the bibliographic references.
