Author Guidelines

Submissions must be research articles focused on Theoretical Linguistics or Applied Linguistics. They may be written in Spanish or English.

Articles must be original and unpublished, and must not be under simultaneous consideration for review or publication elsewhere; they must be submitted in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect format.

Manuscripts may be submitted through the journal's online platform, via the Submissions tab. Articles will not be accepted by any other means. Once the manuscript has been received, the author will receive an acknowledgment-of-receipt email. They will subsequently be informed whether or not the article proceeds to the peer-review process.

Two digital files must be submitted for each contribution. One of them will contain the author(s)' information and must include: first and last name(s), as customarily used to sign their work and without using initials (if the text is the work of more than one author, the first will be considered the lead author); city and country; a brief biographical note including teaching or research positions and ranks; and an email address. The other file will contain the full body of the article, avoiding any reference to the author(s) in order to preserve their anonymity during the review process.

Each manuscript must be accompanied by:

Title of the text in Spanish and English.

An abstract of the text in Spanish and English, not exceeding 150 words. It must be written in a single paragraph that concisely presents the purpose, the main results, and the conclusions of the research.

Between 3 and 8 keywords or key phrases, in Spanish and English. They must not duplicate words or phrases already present in the title of the text.

The following must also be clearly defined: an introduction stating the aims and any other elements to be highlighted; the sections, with their corresponding headings; the conclusions; and the bibliographic references.

Formatting guidelines for manuscripts:

Text format: .doc or .rtf

Document size: Letter (215 x 279 mm)

Font: Times New Roman 12

Line spacing: 1.5

Maximum length for research articles: 20 pages

Maximum length for reviews: 5 pages

All sources cited in the articles or mentioned in the body of the text must be clearly identified, following the guidelines established in the 7th edition of the APA style.
